The Lord's Prayer
Jesus didn't give us the Lord's Prayer to be merely repeated — He gave it as a pattern. Each line shows us how to approach God: relationship, worship, surrender, dependence, forgiveness, and protection. Let it teach you how to pray, not just what to say.

Jesus' disciples asked Him to teach them to pray. In response, He gave what we now call the Lord's Prayer — a model not just of words to repeat, but of how to approach God.
[9] Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. [10] Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. [11] Give us this day our daily bread, [12] and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (ESV)

- •It trusts God as a good Father.
- •It asks for daily needs, not stockpiled abundance.
- •It links our forgiveness to our willingness to forgive.
Prayer is less about the right words and more about the right posture — a child coming to a good Father.
